Dow and Honeywell collaborate to deliver more sustainable “revolutionary insulation” Technology

The Dow Chemical Company’s new polyurethane rigid foam is “one of the best insulation materials available to help achieve energy efficient targets, reduce costs and mitigate greenhouse gas emissions” according to MarketWatch. The technology is enabled by Honeywell’s Solstice Liquid Blowing Agent that can be found in consumer freezers in retail chains around the U.S. Labels on the freezer let consumers know the “revolutionary insulation” is in their appliance. The new system is helping manufacturers comply with environmental and energy efficiency regulations proposed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
