In Malmo, Sweden, an industrial wasteland has been changed into a new eco-district for people to live. This change is made by the project of “Bo01” to meet the demand of increasing population. Although the place filled with homes, shops and office buildings, its energy used comes solely from renewable sources. The wind turbine is used to provide the electricity of the city. Food waste is transferred into biogas to fuel the bus in the city. Storm is harnessed to store the water. Malmo has become a successful case for a sustainable City, and its model has become applied to many other cities for restoration. In 2030, Malmo is aimed at carbon neutral and become the Western Harbor.
